Activity Description

Day 1: Jaipur – The Cultural Kickoff

Arrive in Jaipur and ease into the rhythm of the Pink City. Spend your day walking through the courtyards of City Palace, pausing at Jantar Mantar’s curious instruments, and capturing the iconic façade of Hawa Mahal.

In the evening, snack on paneer ghewar from LMB or lose yourself in Johari Bazaar’s maze of colors, stones, and block prints.

Day 2: Bundi – Rajasthan’s Best-Kept Secret

Leave early and head to Bundi, a quieter, bluer cousin of Jodhpur. The town feels like it belongs in a painting—washed in faded indigo, stitched with narrow alleys and timeless stairwells.

  • Climb up to Bundi Palace to see the unretouched murals—raw, historic, and incredibly expressive
  • Visit Raniji ki Baori, one of Rajasthan’s finest stepwells
  • Watch daily life unfold in slow motion: kids playing cricket under domes, cows napping in courtyards, and shopkeepers sipping chai

Tip: Bundi is a photographer’s dream. Bring extra memory cards.

Day 3: Chittorgarh – Legends on Stone

A 3-hour drive brings you to Chittorgarh, a fortress town drenched in tales of sacrifice, bravery, and honor. Unlike other forts, this one feels expansive—less touristy, more immersive.

  • Visit Vijay Stambh, Kirti Stambh, and Padmini Palace
  • Watch the sun lower over the battlements, and you’ll feel what generations of poets tried to capture in words

Days 4–5: Udaipur – Grace by the Lake

  • Udaipur is a soft landing after Chittorgarh’s gravity. Spend two days letting the city charm you.
    On Day 4:
  • Explore the towering City Palace, with its mosaic walls and panoramic balconies
  • Take a boat ride across Lake Pichola, as the Lake Palace shimmers in the golden light

On Day 5:
  • Visit Shilpgram, an artist’s village with regional crafts
  • Watch the sunset from Monsoon Palace—a bit touristy, yes, but the view is still magical

Day 6: Kumbhalgarh – The Forgotten Giant

Not far from Udaipur lies Kumbhalgarh, home to the second-longest wall in the world. While the fort itself is less ornate, its scale and location make up for it.

  • Walk parts of the 36-km wall (even a short stretch is impressive)
  • Visit the inner temples and explore at your own pace
  • If you're lucky, spot antelopes or peacocks along the edge of the sanctuary

Day 7: Jodhpur – Blue Walls & Bold Flavors

Drive to Jodhpur, Rajasthan’s Blue City. It’s busy, bold, and full of character.

  • Tour Mehrangarh Fort, where every corner tells a story
  • Visit Jaswant Thada, a quiet marble memorial nearby
  • Wind down in Clock Tower Market, tasting masala chai and picking up spices or textiles

Stay overnight in a restored haveli for the full effect.

Day 8: Bikaner – Underrated, Undeniably Tasty

Bikaner isn’t on everyone’s list—but maybe that’s why it should be on yours.

  • Wander through the lavish Junagarh Fort
  • Visit the Bikaneri Bhujia factory and sample the real thing (it’s not just a snack; it’s heritage)
  • Stop by Lallgarh Palace or browse markets for camel leather goods and embroidery

Day 9: Mandawa – Art Without Walls

Drive into Mandawa, the heart of the Shekhawati region, where buildings double as storybooks.

  • Explore open-air galleries of frescoed havelis—some crumbling, others lovingly restored
  • See art that blends colonial trains with Hindu deities and British officers with mythological scenes
  • Spend your night in a restored haveli to complete the experience

Day 10: Back to Jaipur or Delhi

On your last day, take your time. Have one last chai on the way back. Look out the window. Rajasthan isn’t the kind of place you leave in a hurry.
